WATERTOWN, February 28—Technology public relations specialist Sterling Hager has launched a new service called PRESSCO (Public Relations Essentials for Small and Start-up Companies), a customized and focused service for companies that require the immediate value of public relations services but do not yet have the resources to commit to a formal, ongoing PR program.

“We devised PRESSCO specifically for small and start-up companies that want access to the strategy and expertise of a full-service public relations agency in the form of a goal-focused, short-term PR campaign,” said Jim Joyal, agency president. “Many smaller companies feel the costs associated with a full PR program would be out of line with the size and scope of their communications budget. PRESSCO is customized to make the most of a company’s immediate business situation and rapidly achieve marketing, communications, and public relations results.”

Small and start up companies can engage with the firm and implement PRESSCO to launch or reposition a business/product/service; enter a new market; seek/prepare for new funding; achieve a major business milestone such as M&A or IPO; support a tradeshow appearance; and kick-start an in-house PR program. Projects include developing a strategic program plan and timeline; writing and editing press kit materials; placing by-lined or contributed articles; securing speaking engagements; securing interviews with press and trade analysts; pursuing editorial, product review and awards opportunities; and conducting media training.
