LONDON—Tina Stowell, currently head of communications for the BBC Trust, has been appointed head of corporate affairs at the BBC, responsible for the implementation of an integrated corporate affairs, events and publishing strategy for the BBC. She will work closely with the executive team and report directly to Ed Williams, director of communications.
Stowell has been head of communications for the BBC's governing body since 2003, working for successive chairmen: Gavyn Davies, Michael Grade and Sir Michael Lyons. Prior to joining the BBC in November 2001 as deputy secretary of the Corporation, she ran William Hague's office when he was leader of the Conservative Party.
Previously, she was a civil servant for ten years, working at the Ministry of Defence in
