Strum Moves to New Role at Toyota North America

Toyota Motor North America has named Steve Sturm as group vice president of Americas for strategic research and planning and corporate communications. Sturm will be responsible for corporate strategy and planning, strategic research.

NEW YORK—Toyota Motor North America has named Steve Sturm as group vice president of Americas for strategic research and planning and corporate communications. Sturm will be responsible for corporate strategy and planning, strategic research across the Americas and image research. He will also have responsibility for corporate advertising and marketing communications, as well as media and investor relations.

Sturm joins Toyota’s New York holding company from Toyota Motor Sales in Torrance, Cal., where he had been VP-planning in North America.

In addition, Anna Schneider has been promoted to vice president government affairs and deputy to the group vice president in Washington, D.C.; Bob Wimmer has been promoted to national manager of technical and regulatory affairs, environment; Robert Chiappetta has been promoted to manager in the government affairs group; Donna Rhudy to manager in the government affairs group; and Trina Ewald to assistant manager in investor and media relations.
