Susan Eastoe Exits Edelman After 12 Years

LONDON—Susan Eastoe has left Edelman, marking the end of her 12-year stint as one of the PR firm's most senior executives in Europe.

Eastoe spent more than two years as chief operating officer for Edelman across EMEA, after a four-year run as deputy CEO of the UK operation. In both positions, she reported to former Edelman regional head Robert Phillips, who departed the agency in late 2012.

Eastoe also served as acting head of the region after Phillips left, before the arrival of Michael Stewart as Europe/CIS CEO.

The past 12 months has seen Eastoe handle dual global roles, as global chair of family companies and foundations, and head of creative operations, reporting to global creative strategy chair Jackie Cooper.

Eastoe told the Holmes Report that she does not have a specific role lined up. "I’ve got an opportunity now to think about what I’d like to do."

Under Stewart, Edelman has restructured its regional leadership over the past two years. Cornelia Kunze is now vice-chair of the region, while new leadership has also been appointed in several local markets.

Eastoe joined Edelman UK as head of public affairs in 2003 from Westminster Strategy. An Edelman spokesperson confirmed the departure and said "we wish Susan well with her future endeavours."
