LONDON—After nearly 15 years with Manning Selvage & Lee, Alasdair Sutherland, executive vice president and former head of its London and Frankfurt offices, is retiring.  Sutherland will continue to act as a consultant to the firm.

Sutherland joined MS&L in 1990 as joint managing director of the London office. Over the years he has held various senior roles, including director of international development and acting manager of the Frankfurt office. In 1999, Sutherland opened MS&L’s Paris office and later returned to its London office as executive vice president.

“Alasdair has played a pivotal role in the international growth and employee development of MS&L,” said Louis Capozzi, MS&L’s chairman and chief executive officer.  “His positive contributions to our firm will have a lasting impact, and we will continue to rely on his expertise in the future.”

In 2000, Sutherland created the firm’s corporate career development group to focus on professional development issues.
