CHICAGO—GolinHarris has expanded the capabilities of its corporate and technology practices in the Western region by naming Rosabel Tao, formerly of Bank of America, to lead the California corporate practice, creating a new statewide role. Tao will also serve as a senior member of the firm’s national technology practice.

“Unifying the West coast corporate practice under the management of one person will enable us to more effectively leverage the best talents of team members throughout the three California offices to meet the unique needs of our clients,” says judy Johnson, executive vice president and managing director, Western region. “It also provides us with a stronger foundation for collaboration throughout GolinHarris and with our sister companies.”

In addition to leading the California corporate practice, Tao will have responsibility for counseling clients and developing new business in the technology practice.  She will be based in Los Angeles, but will also have an office in San Francisco.

Prior to joining GolinHarris, Tao was senior vice president at Bank of America, where she led corporate communications for the national consumer bank. She also has an extensive agency background, having held leadership positions at Weber Shandwick Worldwide and Fleishman-Hillard.
