BRUSSELS: Fionnuala Tennyson is to depart her role as European VP of public affairs and communication at Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE), following the acquisition of the bottling company’s North American operations by the Coca-Cola Company.
The $3.4 billion sale of CCE North America to Coca-Cola, means that CCE’s European public affairs and comms function will now be led by Laura Brightwell, a VP at CCE’s North American HQ in Atlanta.
Tennyson spent four years as EU corporate affairs director at Kraft Foods before joining CCE as UK public affairs and comms director, eventually taking on oversight of Europe. She has played an instrumental role in developing CCE’s sustainability strategy, working with institutions such as the University of Cambridge’s Climate Leadership Programme.
Prior to joining Kraft, she held senior positions at Siemens and London Electricity. Tennyson is also a judge for the 2011 SABRE Awards Europe.
CCE is the third largest Coca-Cola bottler in the world; following the sale of its North American assets, its operations are confined to Western Europe, including the UK.
