PORTLAND, OR—The Portland office of Fleishman-Hillard has hired three principals of the local consulting firm Lindberg/Kirk/Millar, and will assume responsibility for that firm’s client portfolio, in an effort to add depth to the agency’s corporate communications and public affairs capabilities.
Fleishman-Hillard has added Cate Millar, a communications veteran with AT&T Wireless and Cellular One; Mike Lindberg, who served for 17 years as Portland City Commissioner; and Barbara Audiss, who directed domestic community affairs for Nike. In addition, Jill Kirk, who was a principal at Lindberg/Kirk/Millar and currently serves on the Oregon State Board of Education and other educational, arts and culture organizations, will be a consultant to FH clients.
Clients of Lindberg/Kirk/Millar—including Associated Oregon Industries, Oregon Council for Hispanic Advancement, the Housing Authority of Portland, and the Portland Police Foundation—will be transferred to Fleishman-Hillard.
Millar will serve as vice president and business group leader of Fleishman-Hillard Portland, where she will counsel clients with corporate positioning, business communications, or public affairs needs. Lindberg will serve as a senior consultant to FH clients needing support with public affairs and community relations. Audiss will serve as projects manager for Fleishman-Hillard clients, where she will manage special initiatives and assignments.
Fleishman’s Portland operation was formed 20 years ago as KVO Public Relations, which focused primarily on technology, and was acquired by Fleishman-Hillard in 2000.
