LONDON—Fast-growing UK consumer PR firm Threepipe Communications is merging with Blowfish Digital in a bid to offer clients a fully integrated service that will include digital media, search, social media, earned media, content and data to engage audiences and deliver commercial results.

The new agency, which will operate under the Threepipe brand, has a combined team of 50, with specialists across a range of disciplines: digital marketing including SEO, PPC, digital media planning and buying, mobile, affiliate marketing, data analytics and attribution modelling; content creation including mobile and social apps, digital games, video, digital creative assets, infographics and visualisations, and events, stunts and brand experiences; and PR and social media, with specialist consumer, corporate and b2b, and sports teams.

Blowfish Digital is a digital marketing agency founded in 2005 with a client list that includes Reiss, eBay, Royal British Legion, Laura Ashley, Robert Dyas and 4Music. Threepipe, founded in 2004, works with Stella Artois, Rachel’s Dairy, Gruppo Campari, Seven Dials Covent Garden, Leapfrog Toys, Britax, The Football League, Ericsson and Satmetrix.

According to Eddie May, co-founder of Threepipe: “We’ve been integrating social media and content into our PR campaigns for years, but we saw the need to offer clients a wider range of skills, giving us the ability to create properly integrated and effective campaigns, all under one roof.

“The PR industry continues to struggle with evaluation, and consistently fails to prove its commercial value to ever more demanding stakeholders. We’re already making exciting progress, identifying measurable outcomes from our campaigns using the evaluation ideas and analytical skills that exist within the Blowfish Digital team.”

Jim Hawker and Eddie May, co-founders of Threepipe, are joined by Farhad Koodoruth, founder of Blowfish Digital, as co-owners and directors of the new business.
