Tonic Life Hires Immergut, Opens New York Office

Tonic Life Communications, a U.K.-based public relations firm specializing in lifestyle and life science public relations, has hired Steven Immergut as managing director of its New York office.

NEW YORK— Tonic Life Communications, a U.K.-based public relations firm specializing in lifestyle and life science public relations, has hired Steven Immergut as managing director of its New York office. Immergut, like Tonic Life founder Scott Clark, is a veteran of international healthcare public relations consultancy CPR Worldwide, which was acquired by Fleishman-Hillard in 1999.

Immergut, who will serve as a member of the North American steering committee alongside Fleishman-Hillard veteran Jennifer Ryan, who was hired to lead the firm’s Dallas office in August of last year. He will play an integral role with the firm’s North American growth strategy.

Immergut has counseled major clients in biopharmaceuticals, consumer health, health information technology and the non-profit sector, including Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Roche, Schering Plough, Wyeth, Allergan, Intel, the Consumer Healthcare Products Association and the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Earlier in his career, Immergut worked in the healthcare practices at CPR Worldwide and Hill and Knowlton.
