LONDON—Senior Conservative Party consultant Simon Hoare, a member of David Cameron’s constituency executive council, has joined Four Politics, the public affairs arm of Four Communications, as a director. Hoare is the second senior addition to the public affairs team in recent weeks, following the appointment of former Bloomberg head of government relations and Hackney Council cabinet member Alan Laing as account director.

Before joining Four Politics, Hoare ran his own consultancy, Community Connect, specializing in planning, community relations and stakeholder management for clients including Barratt, Persimmon, Development Securities, Liberty Mercian, The Ministry of Justice, Beyond Green, Helios Properties and Bloor Homes. He will be transferring his client list to Four.

Before setting up his own agency, Simon was head of property and planning at Ketchum, an account director at PPS and external affairs director at the Environmental Services Association. He began his agency career with Charles Barker in the 1990s.

Hoare will report to Four Politics managing director and ex-Leader of Southwark Council, Jeremy Fraser.
