CHICAGO—Edelman has added the Trade Commission of Spain in Chicago to its business marketing and technology practice. Part of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade, the Trade Commission of Spain is a foreign government office operating under the authority of the Ministry of Industry Tourism & Trade in Madrid and promotes Spanish industrial products and technology in the United States and provides essential information about Spanish firms seeking partnerships, investment or export opportunities and other strategic alliances in the U.S.
Edelman will execute an integrated marketing communications program on behalf of the Trade Commission, including an advertising campaign in national and international business and vertical trade publications and media relations on behalf of Spanish companies seeking U.S. investment. In addition to traditional media relations, Edelman will implement an integrated public affairs campaign that will hone their public message and ensure meaningful dialogue with public officials to raise awareness of the organization’s national and international trade missions and local investment forums.
“Our partnership with Edelman will allow the Trade Commission to professionally manage our communications process while promoting Spain as a dominant player in many growing industries,” says Enrique Alejo, trade commissioner. “As the eighth largest global economy, Spain is leading the way in industries like renewable energies and infrastructure management, setting the pace for companies around the world.”
