Tripp Joins L-3 to Head Corporate Comms

L-3 Communications, a supplier to the aviation industry, has appointed Karen Tripp as vice president, corporate communications Tripp will integrate L-3’s internal and external communications, marketing communications, advertising and media and investor communications.

NEW YORK—L-3 Communications, a supplier to the aviation industry, has appointed Karen Tripp as vice president, corporate communications, effective immediately. Tripp will integrate L-3’s internal and external communications, marketing communications, advertising and media and investor communications, as well as a variety of other initiatives and will report to Michael Strianese, president and chief executive officer.

Most recently, Tripp served as general manager of global communications for General Electric’s $16 billion Aviation unit, a position she held since 2002. Prior to joining GE, she was Vice president of corporate communications for Rockwell Collins from 1997 to 2002.
