NEW YORK—WeddingChannel.com and online grocer FreshDirect—two survivors from the dot-com age—have selected MWW Group for public relations counsel.

WeddingChannel.com has retained MWW for consumer media relations and corporate communications. MWW will be responsible for leading a public relations campaign to further establish WeddingChannel.com as the ultimate wedding resource and registry destination.

“We selected MWW because of its commitment to results, excellent track record and strong references. Already in one month of working with the firm, we have seen significant media traction and are very pleased with the high level of professionalism and effort the team has demonstrated,” said Adam Berger, CEO of WeddingChannel.com.

The firm has been hired by FreshDirect to launch a multi-pronged public relations campaign that will include consumer marketing and business-to-business communications. MWW will help FreshDirect strengthen relationships with existing customers and attract new customers through highly creative media relations and guerilla marketing initiatives. Additionally, MWW will help promote FreshDirect’s full suite of products and services to further establish the Company’s position as the industry leader in the online grocery sector.

“We were impressed with MWW’s strategic, results-driven approach to public relations and the knowledge and experience of their team,” said John Boris, vice president of marketing for FreshDirect.  “Communicating our message of quality and value will be critical as we continue to solidify our leadership in the sector and unlock the potential of our brand.”
