Two Political Veterans Join Direct Impact

Direct Impact, the grassroots public affairs and marketing subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, hired Bush-Cheney 2004 regional political director Dave DenHerder and political veteran Bill Lee.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Direct Impact, the grassroots public affairs and marketing subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, hired Bush-Cheney 2004 regional political director Dave DenHerder and political veteran Bill Lee.

DenHerder most recently planned and managed the political and grassroots operations of Bush-Cheney 04 across seven states, including the battleground states of Ohio, West Virginia and Michigan. At Direct Impact, DenHerder will serve as the company’s executive vice president for operations. 

Lee has worked on numerous presidential campaigns, such as those of Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, George H. W. Bush, Phil Gramm and Bob Dole, and is the co-founder and president of the political and commercial survey research firm Tel Opinion Research. He will be senior strategic counselor at Direct Impact.
