NEW YORK—European healthcare consultancy Resolute Communications is opening its first U.S. office in New York, led by Laurie Hurley, who was most recently senior vice president and partner in Fleishman-Hillard’s New York healthcare practice. .
Resolute joint chief executive and founding partner Anna Korving says the five-year-old London-based firm sees the expansion into the U.S. as a significant step towards becoming “the most influential international health communications consultancy,” adding: “Many U.S.-based healthcare companies are increasingly asking for agencies with an established and proven European presence, and with its continuing success in Europe, Resolute is well-placed to answer that need.”
Hurley has more than 18 years of marketing, communications and public relations experience both at international communications firms such as Fleishman-Hillard, Burson-Marsteller and Edelman Public Relations and at healthcare, biotechnology and technology companies.
