WALTHAM, MA—Schwartz Communications, one of the largest independent public relations firms in North America and a specialist in the high-technology, medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, will open a European headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, on November 1. Schwartz veteran Kristina Ebenius, who has most recently been serving in a senior role for Swedish public relations agency Andreasson Public Relations, will serve as managing director of the new office.

“The opening of our Stockholm office enables us to extend our brand to Europe,” said Steve Schwartz, president of Schwartz Communications. “As a center of technical innovation, entrepreneurship and global competitiveness, Stockholm is an excellent location for our European headquarters.”

Schwartz’s Stockholm office will serve companies throughout Europe and North America, providing the full suite of Schwartz’s traditional and new media services.

Ebenius was an account supervisor at Schwartz in Boston before joining Andreasson earlier this year as an account manager in the firm’s healthcare practice. Her previous experience also includes work at Edelman in the U.S.
