LONDON—UK PR firm Firstlight has been called in to handle public relations for one of the country's largest providers of diagnostic services.

InHealth, which has hired Firstlight, is seeing increasing demand for its services amid a Department of Health mandate that seeks to increase the number of diagnostic tests that are done closer to home.

Firstlight will help InHealth communicate its capabilities within the new NHS structures, and highlight how high quality diagnostics can contribute to better outcomes.

“The NHS has changed dramatically over the last 12 months," explained InHealth head of marketing and communications Anna Tomlinson. "It’s essential that our business is aligned with the needs of those delivering care and effective communications is a critical part of this process."

InHealth works across the NHS and private healthcare sector, supporting 200 hospitals and 80 community health clinics and seeing around 500,000 patients every year.

"Much of our work in recent times has involved helping clients navigate the NHS reforms, and the provision of diagnostics presents many of these challenges,” added Firstlight MD Pat Pearson.

Firstlight was launched in 2009 and now has 13 people working across corporate and healthcare clients.
