LONDON--Unilever laundry brand Surf has hired salt to manage its global Facebook presence.

Unilever roster agency salt secures the assignment following a three-way pitch.

The agency will create Surf’s global conversation strategy and content, and manage Surf’s communities globally, to position the laundry detergent as an "everyday delight brand."

The appointment follows the launch of new brand character 'Surfy', who will feature in the brand's Facebook activity and play a role in Bubble Saga, a Surf-branded Facebook game.
