SAN FRANCISCO: Rainemakers, an agency that launched in 2009, has merged with the US interests of BondPR International.

The move brings a stronger US presence to BondPR, a London-based firm that focuses on multi-market PR campaigns. The new agency, which will retain the same name, will continue to be headed by Debra Raine, who launched the firm after departing Waggener Edstrom.

Since its launch, Rainemaker has specialised in the technology space, acquiring such clients as Televox, Cornerstone and Appletree. BondPR, said agency CEO Tom Burgess, does not bring "any immediate clients" to the US.

Burgess is hoping that his agency's offering, which combines multi-country coverage with lower overheads than those commonly associated with traditional PR networks, will prove compelling for clients. So far, BondPR is active in 10 global hubs, working for such clients as Autodesk and Regus.
