USAirways Hires WaddEd’s Olson to Lead Comms

TEMPE, AZ—US Airways has named James Olson to the position of vice president, corporate communications.

TEMPE, AZ—US Airways has named James Olson to the position of vice president, corporate communications.

 

Olson will report to senior vice president, people, communications and culture Elise Eberwein and will lead the airline's internal and external communications. He joins US Airways from Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, where he was a senior vice president and he helped establish and lead the firm's corporate and digital practices.

 

Prior to joining Waggener Edstrom, Olson was vice president, corporate communications at Overture Services, which merged with Yahoo! in 2003. Olson spent the first nine years of his communications career in the automotive industry, where he consulted for Nissan North America. He started his career at J.D. Power and Associates in 1992.
