Volkswagen Names Gill to Lead Product PR

Volkswagen of America has named Jim Gill as head of product and technology public relations communications. Gill is responsible for being the primary print, broadcast and digital media contact for Volkswagen brand and technology information and communications.

HERNDON, VA—Volkswagen of America has named Jim Gill as head of product and technology public relations communications. Gill is responsible for being the primary print, broadcast and digital media contact for Volkswagen brand and technology information and communications. In addition, he will serve on the public relations and event management teams, with a primary objective of bolstering awareness of Volkswagen in automotive, business and general interest media.

 

Gill joins Volkswagen from automotive supplier Continental, where he was responsible for the company's corporate, product and media relations, internal communications, public affairs and corporate events. Prior to joining Continental, Gill was media and marketing communications manager for Nissan and was a member of the communications strategy team that launched the first Altima and Nissan's re-entry to the family sedan market.

 

Previously, he was a vice president in Hill and Knowlton's Japanese operations.
