AUSTIN, July 26—The Texas Council on Family Violence, a nonprofit focused on domestic violence issues, has hired Vollmer Public Relations to assist with a $2 million public awareness campaign that will publicize domestic violence programs in the state of Texas and provide information to the general public on ways it can assist family and friends living with domestic violence.

The 16-month integrated communications campaign will be managed out of Vollmer’s Austin office. The campaign includes focus group research, bilingual media relations, and extensive broadcast and print advertising and public service announcements.

Vollmer will work with four partners, including Saurage Research, PSA specialist The Davis Group, creative services group BSRG Advertising, and Cinco Media Communications, which will handle the Spanish-language aspect of the campaign.

According to Vollmer chief executive Helen Vollmer, “We believe this public awareness campaign will have a dramatic impact on the safety of many thousands of Texas families and decrease the barriers women face when trying to get help.”
