AUSTIN—The W2O Group is forming a strategic alliance with the DC-based Podesta Group to boost its public affairs chops, while also providing digital analytics to Podesta.

W2O president Bob Pearson said the partnership allows W2O to offer lobbying, building on the firm’s existing issues and crisis services. In turn, Podesta -- a 100-person public affairs shop -- will tap into W2O for digital analytics to increase the precision and speed of its work.

At this point, the partnership isn’t a formal commercial relationship -- but there’s potential for this down the road. In Washington DC, W2O will cohabitate in Podesta’s offices.

Pearson and Podesta principal Dave Marin announced the partnership at W2O’s Precommerce Summit held in advance of SXSWi in Austin.
