NEW DELHI--Waggener Edstrom has hired former Genesis Burson-Marsteller veteran Bhuvnesh Chawla to a senior role in India.

Chawla spent a decade at Genesis B-M, rising to the role of chief marketing officer, before leaving for an eight-month stint at Ogilvy PR.

He joins Wag-Ed as North India GM and client services director, two years after the firm launched its Indian presence in Mumbai. Last year, Wag-Ed expanded to Bangalore and Delhi.

Wag-Ed has also hired Kim Pinto from Blue Lotus as account director, based in Mumbai.

"We have doubled both our revenues and headcount over the last year and expect to keep up that pace of growth over the next couple of years," said Wag-Ed India MD Madhuri Sen.

"Towards this, expanding in Delhi and the rest of North India is key, as well as further building our core practices in areas such as technology, healthcare and social innovation.”
