MOSCOW—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has entered the Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States markets through an agreement with Rakours-PR, which becomes the newest member of the WE Global Alliance program. The agreement provides WE with a local presence and capability, and provides Rakours-PR with expanded international capabilities.

“Our client needs signaled that it was the right time to extend into the Russian market,” said David Ingle, chief operating officer for the EMEA region at Waggener Edstrom. “Through the WE Global Alliance program, we will be able to engage in the Russian communications market by bringing the best minds together to address the needs of multinational companies working with many involved audiences.”

Yuri Eremeyev, CEO of Rakours-PR, adds that “Russian companies across a number of industrial sectors are expanding their focus globally for further opportunities. Our membership in the WE Global Alliance is a perfect fit against these dynamics, as it creates strong new-business opportunities for us as well as expanded client service offerings in the form of international capabilities.”

Rakours-PR provides consulting services that span corporate positioning, reputation management, government communications, public relations and mass media.
