PORTLAND, October 15—High-tech powerhouse Waggener Edstrom has named technology industry veteran Jonathan Yarmis vice president of enterprise strategies. Yarmis, a former vice president at Gartner, will craft a global analyst relations function for the agency, extending its established analyst relations practice. He will also play a role in determining new practice areas for Waggener Edstrom with special emphasis on the communications needs of enterprise business.

According to Yarmis, “There are tremendous opportunities to expand agency services to meet the business needs of current and future enterprise clients, and I am delighted to have an opportunity to develop those new service areas.”

Before coming to Waggener Edstrom, Yarmis worked for eMarketWorld Inc., a vertically aligned conference producer, where he served as president of the content group and chief strategy officer. Before he joined eMarketWorld, he was an executive vice president at an Internet advisory group, Mainspring, where he headed up the Internet research organization.
