LONDON—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, which now operates four offices in Europe following the launch of a Brussels operation in late 2005, has named Claire Lematta president of Europe, Middle East and Africa and Frank X Shaw president of Microsoft accounts, worldwide.
Lematta, based in London, will continue to direct the company’s growing footprint and expanding services in EMEA and Shaw, based in Portland, Oregon, will continue to oversee the strategic direction of the agency’s global Microsoft Corp business.
Lematta has directed the firm’s European operations since 2002 and has 18 years of service with the company. Under her stewardship, revenues in Europe have increased three-fold in as many years and the European operations a London-based team of five in 2002 to a team of more than 53 in its European headquarters, in addition to staff across offices in Paris, Brussels and Munich.
An eight-year veteran of Waggener Edstrom Worldwide, Shaw leads the global Microsoft team and is responsible for all PR efforts across the account. Shaw previously managed public relations accounts at Knoll & Company Inc and Gelman & Gray Communications, where he clients included McDonald’s, The Walt Disney Co., and Willamette Industries.
