SEATTLE—Waggener Edstrom Worldwide’s global public affairs practice has been selected by the Washington Dairy Products Commission to help create and implement a new Dairy Trust Initiative. WE will work with the Commission on a comprehensive communications effort to expand awareness of the quality and value of Washington dairy products and the important contributions of Washington’s dairy farms and dairy farm families to Washington State.

The shifting dynamics in the dairy industry led the Washington Dairy Products Commission to engage Waggener Edstrom Worldwide based on its ability to conceive and deliver a comprehensive campaign for the Dairy Trust Initiative, including research, messaging, strategic planning, digital and off-line communications, marketing, promotions and stakeholder engagement.

According to Blair Thompson, consumer communications manager for the Commission, WE’s “innovative approach to delivering integrated communications will make a major contribution to our goal of enhancing awareness and consumer trust of the dairy industry in our state.”

Dairy is the second-largest agricultural industry in Washington State and has an estimated $1.7 billion impact on the State’s economy annually.
