Walker Joins Honeywell Specialty Materials Unit

Honeywell has appointed Reid Walker as vice president of communications for the company’s specialty materials business unit. Walker will report directly to Specialty materials president and chief executive officer Nance Dicciani.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ—Honeywell has appointed Reid Walker as vice president of communications for the company’s specialty materials business unit. Walker will report directly to Specialty materials president and chief executive officer Nance Dicciani with a functional reporting relationship to Tom Buckmaster, Honeywell’s vice president for corporate communications.

He succeeds Emily Metzger who has retired after a nearly 30-year career with the company.

According to Dicciani, “He will play a pivotal role in driving communications that support our growth strategies in Specialty Materials and build the value of our brand.”

Walker will be responsible for leading Honeywell specialty materials’ worldwide communications efforts, including marketing communications, media relations, employee communications, and crisis and issues management.

Prior to joining Honeywell, Walker was managing director, global marketing communications for GE’s e-commerce division, Global eXchange Services, and was responsible for directing the unit’s global marketing communications.  Prior to joining GE, he held key communications leadership positions at PSINet and The Nasdaq Stock Market/National Association of Securities Dealers.
