Walker Leaves F-H to Head PR at City National Bank

Cary Walker, formerly a leader in the corporate practice in the Los Angeles office of Fleishman-Hillard, has joined City National Bank as senior vice president and manager of corporate public relations.

LOS ANGELES, September 11—Cary Walker, formerly a leader in the corporate practice in the Los Angeles office of Fleishman-Hillard, has joined City National Bank as senior vice president and manager of corporate public relations. He will manage media and investor relations and employee communications for City National, the second largest independent bank headquartered in California.
 
While at Fleishman, Walker provided strategic advice on media relations, financial communications, brand development and crisis management to corporate clients. His previous experience includes positions at senior vice president of corporate public relations at Bank of America, and positions at Robinson Lake Lerer & Montgomery, the California State World Trade Commission, and with former California Governor George Deukmejian.
 
According to the Thom Miller, the company’s executive vice president and marketing director. “Cary combines 17 years of experience in corporate and financial communications with a keen understanding of public affairs, and we’re counting on him to help our team maintain and enhance City National Bank’s position as California’s premier private and business bank.”
