SAN FRANCISCO—WCG has added three new employees: managing director Lauren Letellier, group director Denise Powell and group medical director Himani Kulkarni. In addition, group director Craig Alperowitz will take a lead role in executing integrated communications strategies with clients in the consumer products and entertainment sectors.
Most recently, Letellier served as senior partner, managing director at TogoRun, where she re-branded and re-launched the Omnicom healthcare boutique, growing the new agency from one office with nine employees to three offices with 45 employees. Previously, she held senior vice president positions at CPR Worldwide and Fleishman-Hillard.
Powell most recently served as senior director of corporate communications at Threshold Pharmaceuticals, directing all aspects of the IR and PR functions. Previously, she served as associate director of investor relations at Amgen.
Kulkarni has worked at several leading healthcare agencies for both WPP and EuroRSCG, where she served as lead medical director on multiple assignments across a range of therapeutic categories.
Alperowitz served as executive vice president at Lippe Taylor, responsible for the consumer and consumer health divisions, representing brands including Nestle Beverage, David’s Bridal, IKEA, Qiagen and others. Previously, as managing director at DeVries Public Relations, he led a variety of blue-chip brands including Procter & Gamble’s health & lifestyle division.
