SAN FRANCISCO — Lisa Sullivan has parted ways with WE after more than five years — most recently as head of its San Francisco office — to lead US tech for Ketchum.

Sullivan takes on a new role leading Ketchum’s North America tech practice, reporting into  Hilary McKean who heads global practices for the firm. Susan Butenhoffpreviously led the practice at a global level before taking on the CEO post at the newly-merged AccessEmanate. A Ketchum spokesperson said there aren’t plan to replace Butenhoff (who will continue to play an advisory role), rather Sullivan will work closely with Ketchum’s European tech head David Vindel and McKean.

“Lisa will work with Hilary and Susan to define a growth plan once she is on board, including exploring ways in which technology intersects with other industries like auto, healthcare and food,” the spokesperson said.

Technology has historically been a smaller sector focus for the Omnicom-owned Ketchum, compared to other areas like consumer and corporate. The firm's tech clients include IBM.

At WE, VP Aaron Petras has been acting as interim GM alongside EVP Katie Huang Shin.

"San Francisco is a priority market for WE and a place we will continue to invest and grow," said a WE spokesperson. She added, the firm is considering candidates for the GM role.
