Weber Shandwick Acquires Consumer Boutique Public City

Weber Shandwick Australia has joined forces with consumer public relations boutique agency Public City, owned and led by Marie Najjar.

SYDNEY—Weber Shandwick Australia has joined forces with consumer public relations boutique agency Public City, owned and led by Marie Najjar, who will become director of the agency’s consumer practice, reporting to Ava Lawler, managing director, Weber Shandwick Australia.

Public City was founded in 2007 as a full-service boutique public relations agency. Over the years, its clients have included leading brands in consumer electronics, media, government, hardware, retail, fashion and textiles, and sport. Najjar has worked on high-profile campaigns ranging from destination marketing to corporate communications, for clients spanning business and consumer technologies, fast moving consumer goods and white goods sectors.

Najjar and her staff will continue to provide services directly to all of Public City’s existing clients.
