SEOUL—Korean digital and social media communications specialist SocialLink, owned and led by digital communications specialist Juny Lee, will merge its business into Weber Shandwick’s Korea operation, increasing the agency’s headcount in the Korea market—which it entered three years ago—by about 50 percent.

Lee will become vice president of Weber Shandwick Korea and will report to managing director Tyler Kim. Lee and his staff will continue to provide services directly to all of SocialLink’s existing clients while providing additional support to Weber Shandwick clients in the market.

Established in early 2010, SocialLink has built a portfolio of domestic and international blue chip clients, including well-known brands like SK Telecom, GM Korea and Samsung Electronics.

Weber Shandwick was recently named Korean Consultancy of the Year by The Holmes Report.
