NEW YORK—Weber Shandwick has added Charlotte Otto, former global external relations officer at Procter & Gamble, and Douglas Schoen, political analyst and corporate communications strategist, as senior advisers to the firm and key members of the firm's corporate strategic advisory board.
Otto will be working closely with Weber Shandwick's leadership team, providing counsel to the firm's clients on corporate, executive reputation and governance issues. Otto served as P&G’s global public affairs and external relations officer for 13 years prior to her retirement in 2010, working with five CEOs. She was responsible for P&G's external relations activities worldwide including news media relations, product publicity, consumer relations, employee and shareholder communications, regulatory and technical, government and community relations, and philanthropy.
Schoen, a founding partner and former principal strategist for Penn Schoen & Berland, will be advising the firm's clients on critical corporate and public policy issues. Schoen has been involved with high-profile political campaigns including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Indiana Governor Evan Bayh. His corporate clients have included AOL Time Warner, Procter & Gamble and AT&T.
