Weber Shandwick Adds Public Radio Veteran Murphy in Boston

Weber Shandwick has added Tara Murphy to its corporate practice where she will specialize in public affairs and crisis communications. Murphy previously held a number of senior editorial positions at WBUR Public Radio in Boston.

CAMBRIDGE—Weber Shandwick has added Tara Murphy to its corporate practice where she will specialize in public affairs and crisis communications. Murphy previously held a number of senior editorial positions at WBUR Public Radio in Boston. Most recently, she was a senior producer responsible for the editorial content and production of the award–winning NPR talk show, The Connection, the recipient of several Associated Press awards.

Prior to her work in public radio, Murphy spent three years working as director of public affairs for AmeriCorps and its umbrella agency, the Corporation for National and Community Service. She also served as a director at BSMG Worldwide in Washington, D.C., and as a member of the communications team for the Gore/Lieberman 2000 campaign.
