PRAGUE—Weber Shandwick has expanded its offering in the Czech Republic to include a full service public relations operation. Under an agreement with sister company McCann-Erickson Prague, the PR McCann unit in the city will become part of the Weber Shandwick network, joining forces with the firm’s existing public affairs office in Prague.

“The Czech Republic is an important market,” said Lutz Meyer, president of Weber Shandwick’s
international operations. “As it is fully integrated into Weber Shandwick, our operation in the Czech Republic is perfectly placed to offer Czech companies entry to public relations opportunities in the European Union and around the globe. Likewise, our international clients can draw upon our reach into the Czech market with leading PR and public affairs professionals.”

PR McCann was founded in 1998 as part of the advertisement agency McCann-Erickson Prague. Clients include Durex, Johnson & Johnson, Nescafe, Opavia, Scholl, Visteon (Autopal Novy Jicín) and the University of New York in Prague.
