LONDON — Weber Shandwick has bolstered its new business team with the appointment of Graham Cox as UK new business director.

Based in London, Cox is responsible for driving new business efforts across the agency’s UK office network and practices. He reports jointly to EMEA new business and enterprise director Pete Jacob and Weber Shandwick's London MD Rachel Friend.

Cox was previously business director at brand agency People-Made, after spending three years leading new business for Interbrand.

"He brings a wealth of experience having worked on both client and agency-side," said Friend. "After a stand-out year in 2016 where we added a number of amazing new clients, he will help support our already impressive growth, as we continue to evolve and broaden our capabilities to help senior marketers meet their commercial objectives."

Cox's arrival comes after Jacob relocated to Dubai last year. The latter executive currently splits his time between the Middle East and the UK.
