NEW YORK—Weber Shandwick has been retained by the Canadian Tourism Commission to promote tourism to Canada in the United States. The program includes marketing partnerships and promotions; special events; group and individual media familiarization trips; extensive print and electronic media relations; and trade-show support.
The campaign will be led by Rene Mack, president of Weber Shandwick’s North American travel practice, and Wendy May Lussier, senior vice president in the firm’s consumer, lifestyle and travel marketing group. In addition, the CTC will leverage Weber Shandwick’s recently announced Destination: Entertainment Marketing initiative, a partnership with entertainment specialist Rogers & Cowan.
