COLUMBUS, OH—Paul Werth Associates, a Columbus-based public relations, public affairs and marketing firm, has acquired MMD Research, a market research and consulting company. Werth will expand its current research offerings to include all phases of market and public policy research across a substantial array of consumer and business-to-business categories.

Paul Werth Associates is based in Columbus, Ohio, with an office in Washington, D.C. MMD Research, founded in 1986 by Carolyn E. Randolph and Philip Jursek, serves clients such as Nationwide, Ventaira (formerly BattellePharma), OhioHealth, Ohio State University, WBNS-TV, Norse Dairy Systems, Columbus Blue Jackets and Plantronics.
Randolph will join Paul Werth Associates as senior vice president of research and will relocate to the Paul Werth offices in Columbus. Jursek will serve as an independent consultant to the firm.
