LONDON—Co-working network WeWork has kicked off its expansion beyond the US and hired Bite to oversee public relations in the UK.

Bite will provide media relations and events support around the launch of WeWork’s first London location in October.

In addition to this, the Bite team will aim to build awareness of the WeWork brand within the UK media, focusing on the company's positioning as a platform for creators. In addition to office space, WeWork likes to tout its ability to provide an array of education and support services to members.

Founded in 2010 by Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey, WeWork now houses 2,500 small businesses in its 19 buildings across the US, in such cities as Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, where the company is based.

“WeWork’s communities are being shaped by an incredible cultural, generational and technological shift in how we approach our life’s work,” said Rebekah Paltrow Neumann, chief branding officer for WeWork.
