CHICAGO—Wheatley & Timmons has hired former Kraft Foods communications executive Alyssa Burns as vice president and director of client services. Burns will help manage and build the agency’s client services staff and spearhead strategic planning on existing client brands and orchestrate the development of new business.

Burns comes to Wheatley & Timmons from Kraft, where she served as senior manager of communications. In addition to providing strategic counsel to senior management on communications issues, her role involved work with varying brand teams to build awareness through product and brand-specific PR campaigns for a wide range of businesses including Kraft Singles, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and Miracle Whip.
Earlier in her career, Burns was an account supervisor on the Kraft Foods account at Edelman Worldwide.
