Widmeyer Names Engelka to Lead New York Office

Widmeyer Communications has named Henry Engleka a principal at the firm and the new managing director of its New York office. Engleka heads the firm’s health and wellness practice and with his promotion also joins Widmeyer’s leadership team.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Widmeyer Communications has named Henry Engleka a principal at the firm and the new managing director of its New York office. Engleka heads the firm’s health and wellness practice and with his promotion also joins Widmeyer’s leadership team. Engleka’s work includes providing strategic counsel to some of Widmeyer’s highest profile clients, such as Nestlé, Pfizer, the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center and the Brain Injury Research Institute.

 

In addition, Sara Appleyard has been promoted to vice president. She joined Widmeyer in 2001 and specializes in preK-12 education issues and works out of Widmeyer’s New York operation. And Chad Hyett has been named a vice president based in New York, who provides technology and social media expertise to clients such as Pfizer, West Virginia University and the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.   

 

Katie Reardon has been promoted to senior associate on the PreK-12 education team, based in Washington; Anne Sparkman has been named senior associate on the New York-based education team; Amy Leahing is now a senior account manager in the firm’s health and wellness practice in New York; Kyle Gunnels is a new senior account executive in the New York education practice; and Sara Lense also moves into a senior account executive position, focused on education.
