Winkler to Lead New Corporate Healthcare Group at Edelman

Edelman has hired Shellie Winkler in the newly created position of executive vice president of corporate health in the Eastern region. Winkler will work out of the firm’s New York office and serve on the leadership teams for Edelman’s health sector and corporate and public affairs practice.

NEW YORK—Edelman has hired Shellie Winkler in the newly created position of executive vice president of corporate health in the Eastern region. Winkler will work out of the firm’s New York office and serve on the leadership teams for Edelman’s health sector and corporate and public affairs practice.

Winkler will collaborate with colleagues in a convergence of practices that will address the reputation and organizational communications needs of health sector clients. Clients will include major pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, healthcare providers, institutions and government agencies.

According to Winkler, “The time is now to bring health industry specific expertise to corporate business. The healthcare industry is complex and as it becomes more transparent and better understood, I look forward to helping companies communicate their vision, strategy and organizational values.”

Winkler joins Edelman with 14 years experience and expertise in women’s health, cardiovascular, neuroscience. In addition to her work in the health industry, Prior to joining Edelman, she was director of the corporate practice of Ogilvy Public Relations in New York..

In her new role, Winkler will report to Matt Harrington, president of Edelman’s Eastern region and collaborate with Nancy Turett, global president of health.
