NEW YORK, June 3—Hill and Knowlton has named Renee Yosco director of the consumer marketing practice in its New York office. She will report directly to New York general manager Philip Sheldon and serve as a member of the New York office management committee and the global consumer marketing practice leadership team.

A 12-year public relations veteran, Yosco is a specialist in food, nutrition and packaged goods marketing. She rejoined the New York office of H&K in 2001 as senior managing director after more than three years at Hill & Knowlton London, where she managed pan-European food and nutrition campaigns and lead the food & lifestyle division.

“Renee’s specialist expertise and global experience in working with major consumer brands make her well suited to lead the New York office’s Consumer Marketing Practice,” said Sheldon.  “She is the ideal choice for our team when you look at her track record in brand building, repositioning programs and creating consumer education campaigns, and couple that with her proven ability to leverage our company’s global resources.”

When Marylee Sachs took over as president of the firm’s U.S. operations, she identified consumer marketing as one area where H&K needed to expand its presence. Sachs currently serves as the head of the worldwide consumer marketing practice.
