Zeno Names O'Connor to Lead Media Efforts

Zeno Group has appointed Mark O’Connor as executive vice president, media. O’Connor brings more than 18 years of media relations expertise, which includes agency experience as well as in-house positions within several high profile media organizations.

NEW YORK—Zeno Group has appointed Mark O’Connor as executive vice president, media. O’Connor brings more than 18 years of media relations expertise, which includes agency experience as well as in-house positions within several high profile media organizations.

For the last three years, O’Connor has been with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide as a senior member of the firm’s national media relations team. He has worked with clients in the technology, electronics, food, nutrition, automotive, healthcare and consumer lifestyle sectors.

 

Prior to joining Ogilvy, O’Connor served as vice president of public relations for Food Network, where he was responsible for programming and talent media relations as well as corporate and industry relations. He developed the network’s first public affairs platform with a partnership with Share Our Strength. Previously, O’Connor held positions with MSNBC, CBS and CNN.

 

In his new role at Zeno Group, O’Connor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the firm’s media activities and thought leadership, working closely with Zeno’s client leaders and with the existing team of media specialists across the country.

 

He will be based-in the firm’s New York office and will report to chief executive Barby Siegel.
