NEW YORK, May 9—Corporate and financial communications specialist The Weiser Group has named three managing principals, including former Hill & Knowlton investor relations practice leader Jeff Zilka, and two longtime Weiser executives: George Zouvelos and Dennis McSweeney.

According to the firm’s chairman and CEO Michael Weiser, the three will become shareholders in the firm and members of the management committee, reinforcing The Weiser Group’s positioning as a “senior-level integrated communications firm dedicated to helping companies and financial institutions build strong corporate brands.”

Zilka headed Hill & Knowlton's national financial practice from 1998 to 2000, and most recently served as chief communications officer for Archipelago, the Chicago-based electronic communications network for trading common stocks. He began his career as an investment banker at Paine Webber and also served as head of investor relations for Hillsdown Holdings. He will head client services in the Chicago office and will focus on communications strategy for mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.

Zouvelos, joined Weiser in early 2000 from Neale-May & Partners, and was previously a managing director and co-leader of the firm’s media relations practice. He is now managing principal responsible for directing the firm’s media and public relations services and managing its New York operations.
McSweeney joined Weiser in 1997, having served as communications executive with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He was previously managing director in the Chicago office and will now serve as managing principal responsible for the firm's investor relations practice.
