WASHINGTON, D.C.— APCO Worldwide has launched new offices in two cities in India, Mumbai and New Delhi. Dev Dasgupta, founder and former chief executive of leading Indian management consultancy firm Corporate Catalyst, will serve as managing director of APCO in India.

According to Margery Kraus, president and chief executive officer, “India’s fast and massive growth over the last few years makes it a crucial market for many of our clients. We have been operating successfully in New Delhi since the start of 2007 and assembling a first-rate team, working for existing APCO global clients as well as winning a number of significant new accounts.”

Dasgupta joined APCO India after starting and growing Corporate Catalyst India into a national level player with offices in multiple locations, counseling clients including Japanese organizations such as JETRO, Mitsubishi Research Institute and Tokyo Mitsubishi- UFJ Bank. He began his career as an accountant with the India operations of Arthur Andersen.

A launch event was held in New Delhi in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in India and included a roundtable discussion featuring leading members of the business community, focused on the challenges facing Indian companies looking to expand their operations abroad.
