LANSING, MI—Jackson National Life Insurance Company has named Matthew (Matt) Gonring as vice president of corporate communications. Gonring will oversee all corporate communications functions, including executive communications, media relations, internal communications, community relations, financial communications, social media/digital strategy and corporate advertising initiatives.
Gonring is a veteran of senior communications roles at a number of global corporations including Rockwell Automation, Baxter International, Arthur Andersen and USG Corporation. Most recently, he was vice president and chief communications officer at packaging solutions company Pactiv Corporation, where he was responsible for communications and marketing support for corporate and business units including social/digital media, sustainability, internal/employee, external PR and community relations.
Immediately prior to Pactiv, he spent three years as a consultant with organizational communications specialist Gagen MacDonald.
In his new role, he will be based in the company’s new regional headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville.
